Alfonso Ugarte joined our Firm today, as a partner of the Business practice. Attorney of the Pontificia Universidad Católica and LL.M of the University of Chicago, he has wide experience in corporate and transactional areas, advising national and foreign clients on numerous relevant projects.

Prior to joining Baraona Marshall & Cia., he worked eleven years at Claro & Cía and one in Greenberg Traurig P.A. (U.S). His participation in some of the most important transactions in Chile in recent years led him to be highlighted by the English publication Chambers & Partners in the area of Corporate Law. Then, he was part of the investment team of Moneda Asset Management, leading reorganization processes, financial restructurings, and private debt transactions.

In the academic field, Alfonso Ugarte is Professor of Commercial Law at the Law Faculty of the Universidad Católica, since 2014.
