Last Thursday, May 10th, the Chilean Minister of Energy inaugurated the photovoltaic plant Los Patos, located at El Maule Region, Chile. The project is an initiative of AD Capital, a Chilean financial services company, which structured the negotiation, construction and operation of the plant (more than 3.5 million dollars).
This project will supply 3 MW of clean energy produced in the region to more than 2000 homes. The Renewable Energy Project was built under the rules of the Small Distributed Generation Means (PMGD) that allow projects of up to 9 megawatts to inject their energy directly into the distribution networks, reaching thousands of homes in the same region.
The PMGD also have a stabilized price system, which helps project their income and give them financial viability, thus allowing the creation of new sources of energy, environmentally sustainable and close to the communities they serve.
